Innerlayer Photoresist Stripper

RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) is one of a new generation of photoresist strippers that has no volatile organic compounds, yet can strip photoresist thoroughly and quickly. RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) produces large resist particles for easy filtration. RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590)retains the near legendary anti-tarnish properties that characterize all RD Chemical resist strippers, thus freeing AOI from unnecessary sorting of false or pseudo-defects. Since RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) contains negligible amounts of amines, chelation is kept to a minimum, and waste treatment is made easier.

Since the anti-tarnish is so effective, dissolved Copper in spent stripper is minimized (usually less than 50 ppm), and depending on local regulations on effluent pH, it may be possible to dump rinse waters without treatment, because they will have so little dissolved Copper.

In spite of the low cost, RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) is a very very long-lived product, and may be used in a feed and bleed mode, controlled (ideally) by solution conductivity, or panel count. Consult with RD Chemical for specific recommendations.

MAKE-UP:
Make up at 10%, ideally, for best stripping and anti-tarnish properties.

OPERATION:
Run at as high a temperature as the equipment will allow. RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) will strip at a virtually constant speed until it is completely consumed; at which point it stops working completely, rather than merely slowing down gradually. RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) may be replenished, to lengthen bath life.

EQUIPMENT:
Spray equipment, any plastic, or Stainless steel. Certain EPDM seals may be attacked.

SAFETY:

RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) contains strong alkali; so full face protection, and any other protective clothing required to keep solutions from contacting the body is required. Consult Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.

DISPOSAL:
Used solutions may contain unacceptable levels of dissolved metals, which will need to be removed before disposal. Used solutions will also need to be pH adjusted before disposal. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Contact your RD Chemical representative for further information.

PACKAGING:

RESISTRIP™ EC-1 (RDZ-1590) is available in 5 and 55 gallon poly drums.
