A High Speed Dry Film Photoresist Stripper

RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) is designed to strip certain difficult to remove dry film photoresists quickly, thoroughly and economically. RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) is based on a new technology that combines speed with long life giving sustained high performance stripping not seen in previous stripping technology. RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) will strip overplated fine line and space circuit boards completely throughout its stripping life. As with all RD Chemical photoresist strippers, adhesion promoters are thoroughly removed, and the stripped board is oxidation-free and ready for oxide or etching. RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) contains inhibitors that prevent redeposition of Tin on the Copper, which can inhibit etching of outer layers. RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) will tend to give smaller particle sizes, but this is variable, and dependent on the photoresist being stripped.

MAKE-UP:
Use RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) at 10 - 20% by volume.

OPERATION:
RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) may be used in soak or spray. Use at 120º F, or higher for best results. Higher temperatures give higher strip rates, but also result in greater digestion of the stripped resist particles.

If a defoamer is required, use Defoamer A (RD-28).

CONTROL:
A titration procedure is available, but stripper performance is much more affected by pH, than titratable alkalinity. Control is best done by monitoring pH, and adding stripper concentrate to maintain minimum pH. EQUIPMENT:
Steel, titanium or polypropylene are recommended. PVC may be attacked at higher temperatures and concentrations. Quartz heaters may be used.

SAFETY:

Exercise caution when handling. RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) contains strong alkaline ingredients. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing when using. Eye protection (goggles or a full-face shield) is required. Consult Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.

DISPOSAL:
RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) may contain dissolved heavy metals and chelates. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Contact your RD Chemical representative for further information.

PACKAGING:

RESISTRIP PC (RD-76) is supplied in 55 gallon drums.
