The Companion Product for Use with Alkaline Descale™ (RDZ-1734)

Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) removes the manganese dioxide smut as well as other metal oxides solubilized by Alkaline Descale™ (RDZ-1734) . Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) is a mixed acid system which uses hydrochloric as the primary acid source. A strong inhibitor system is built in to insure no metal attack and no hydrogen embrittlement. The inhibitor system will rinse with water and leaves no residue on the metal after rinsing to interfere with subsequent chemical polishing or plating.

MAKE-UP:
Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) at use as received, 100% by volume. Top up solution loss with product, not with water.

OPERATION:
Use at ambient temperature in soak or wipe-on operations. Immerse parts for 20 to 60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly. Bath may be operated until it is no longer effective and then dumped (a titration control procedure is available).

EQUIPMENT:
Use tanks made of polyethylene, PVC, or polypropylene. Forced ventilation is recommended for areas without natural ventilation or to keep HCl fumes from corroding surrounding metal.

SAFETY:

Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) contains hydrochloric acid and should be treated with the respect due a corrosive acid. The product should only be handled by trained personnel who have an acid gas breathing apparatus as well as other appropriate safety gear (as specified in the Material Safety Data Sheet). Consult M.S.D.S. for further information.

DISPOSAL:
Spent Solutions of Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) may contain heavy metals. These need to be removed and the remaining solution neutralized before it is put into the sewage system. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Contact your RD Chemical representative for further information.

PACKAGING:

Descale Remover™ (RDZ-1735) is available in 4 Liter, 20 liter, and 200 Liter polyethylene drums.
