General Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser

TerClean is an environmentally acceptable general purpose cleaner for removal of organic residues from any surface. TerClean rinses easily, and will leave surfaces free of detectable organic residues. After thorough rinsing, TerClean leaves no ionic or organic residue. TerClean is useful for removing greases and other tenaciously held organics from most surfaces. Most organics will be removed immediately. More difficult residues, which have hardened, may require soaking for up to 30 minutes. The capacity of TerClean to dissolve soils is very large. It can dissolve more organic soils than it's own volume.

MAKE-UP: Use as received (100%) for difficult cleaning applications. TerClean may be diluted with water to as much as 25% by volume for more light duty applications.

OPERATION: Use at 70º F, minimum. Heating is usually not necessary, and not recommended, unless room temperatures are lower than 60º F. If heating is required, use extreme caution as TerClean can burn and has a flash point of 115º F (TCC). Rinse parts thoroughly after cleaning with cool, or tepid, but not hot water. Rinse water may be tap or deionized.

EQUIPMENT: TerClean may be stored and used in polypropylene, polyethylene or stainless steel. For use in tanks, a two-tank cleaning system is the most cost-effective. Use a "dirty" tank, followed by a "clean" tank, followed by a rinse. Using this system, as the volume goes down, transfer additional material from the "clean" tank to make up the "dirty" tank and add new TerClean to bring the "clean" tank up to volume.

SAFETY:

Eye irritant - irrigate eyes with copious amounts of water if exposed; seek medical attention if symptoms persist. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Will dry skin, avoid repeated contact. Buna or Neoprene gloves should be worn to prevent drying of skin. Launder contaminated clothing. Keep away from open flame. Consult Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.

DISPOSAL: Concentrated TerClean waste can be easily disposed of via fuel blending. TerClean's high BTU value (~18,000 BTU/lb) makes it easier and less expensive to dispose than other hazardous wastes. Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Contact your RD Chemical representative for further information.
